Icelandic Champion Xanthos Megiddo JW
After a few unsuccessful tries it really was a case of third time lucky when we got Ch Xanthos Debbie Does Dallas into whelp, so I was reluctant to only keep one puppy… consequently the twins stayed while I made my mind up as to which one to keep! Born on the 11.11.11 I wanted to mark the important day and named the litter after World War One battles, with a connection to the same for their call names. The battle of Megiddo gave Brooke her show name, the call name Brooke was after Rupert Brooke the WW1 poet. She stayed at home initially while sister Wren was introduced to the show scene, but quickly made ground once she had her chance, and had her Junior Warrant in the bag before her sister with Best Puppy in Show wins on many occasions at both Championship and Open Show level. An enthusiastic carrier of toys, I think we have the makings of a good working girl here. STOP PRESS!! a first CC for Brooke whilst still in Yearling which is a real achievement, she then promptly came into season and was mated to Show Champion Zampanzar Say It Again Shardanell, puppies were born on the 7th January. Xanthos Nimbus went off to Switzerland where he is already winning, Xanthos Nightingale flew across the pond to the USA and we kept Xanthos Nymphadora Tonks.
Brooke then left the UK as she was promised to Kristjana Jonsdottir in Iceland. She settled in very quickly and once she had her new coat was campaigned to take her Icelandic Champion title. We are all very proud of her, well done Kristjana and Brooke.
