Olvinglay Gan Amhras JW
Brosnan was bred in Italy by Giovanni Monteverde, his father was bred and lives in Ireland so when this cracking young puppy was stood up on the table at 8 weeks, the name Gan Amhras seemed absolultely appropriate, it means ‘without doubt’ and he has so far proved that he is ‘without doubt’ a very special dog. The call name Brosnan also had the Irish nod, after one of our favourite actors, Pierce Brosnan.
Giovanni kept a couple of the girls from this super litter, so at four months Brosnan came over to spend the summer of 2023 with me.. it was my privilege to show him for Gio, he is a very willing showman, loves a big ring and took his Junior Warrant with ease. Best Puppy in Show wins also came his way, he even had Best of Breed placings out of puppy… he was ‘without doubt’ going to have a bright future. Junior Warrant in the bag, health clearances were outstanding, and his big personality made him a favourite of many. I was thrilled when Gio made me his joint owner. He is a very capable stud dog, and his first puppies are looking great. BVA hips 2:2 elbows 0:0 current clear eye certificate including a perfect PLA pass. Brosnan is thoroughly heart tested with perfect result, and extensively DNA tested, everything came back clear. All original health certificates available for inspection. Brosnan had a huge puppy coat moult this summer in sunny Italy just as Gio started to show him, so some time out while new coat comes in, Brosnan is now back in the UK filling out his coltish frame as he goes towards his 2nd birthday in February 2025.
