Olvinglay Locksmith was my lockdown indulgence… we call him Loki at home. A son of our fabulous World Winner Champion Olvinglay Soothsayer his mother is Xanthos Tango, a show quality bitch who was sold as a companion to the McDonald-Legg family where she spends much time keeping quiet company with Christina McDonald-Legg while she works on her latest novel, I hope in the next book Tango gets a walk on part!! Loki is very much his father’s son in looks and personality, top of the size range like Tarot the main difference being colour, he has a beautiful gold coat like his mother Tango. Loki’s greatest passion is to work which he does during the season along side his grandmother Samba and his great grandfather Kevlar. He took his Show Gundog Working Certificate in November 2022 and proudly passed, an official member of the picking up team now! He has the sweetest of dispositions and the most desirable soft mouth, he is a strong swimmer and leaps like a stag. Excellent health clearances make him a popular member of the stud team, hips 2:5, elbows 0:0, a PLA result of 0:0, and a current clear eye certificate dated April 2023 DNA clear of both PRA 1&2 as well as extensive DNA testing all of which is clear including Ichthyosis. As with all my dogs Loki is heart tested by a cardiologist and I am delighted to report they are all clear. Loki is owned in partnership with Giovanni Monteverde of Olvinglay Golden Retrievers Italy.
